It’s funny. The idea to create my own website came
when I was truly inspired by Billie Doux’s. Honestly, I dream for mine to become as well-rounded as hers is. Then I really knew I could do it when I saw Tim Bronx’s site. He showed me that by using a simple tool like Tripod, you can make anything happen. Now that I update it every day,
I can’t believe that I’m staring at my completed work. It feels like I’ve been working on it forever.
I’m The TV Watcher and I came up with the name (it’s
not original; but it’s recognizable) when I subscribed for a blog at tvguide.com. They have created such a great blogging
community for all tv-obsessed fans to hang out and be even more obsessed. It’s a really nice environment. Fuelled by
this growing desire to write about tv, I went through with this idea; I was going to write reviews.
My first love is writing scripts and it always will be. Until
I can really get my foot in the door (I really hope I do one day), I enjoy writing reviews. I’ve always been a very
opinionated person. I can get very edgy if you read my reviews. That’s the way I like it. Nothing is fun without creating
a bit of controversy.
I have a tendency to get obsessed with tv shows. The first
tv show I truly fell in love with was Alias. If there’s one show I won’t
forget, it’s that one. That’s when I truly started loving tv…and J.J. Abrams after that. I have been such
a huge fan of his work. I went straight for Lost then decided to visit his first
success, Felicity. I can’t believe I missed it the first time around. My
new favourite writer is Shonda Rhimes and I am just in awe with what she has accomplished on Grey’s Anatomy. Keep up the good work.
I edit my own stuff so you will without a doubt find grammatical
mistakes and stupid typos. If you do, would you mind (if you have the time of course) to tell me, especially if it’s
a big mistake. Also, I’m not a pro webmaster, so there’s bound to be some glitches. If you keep me informed that
would be great.
Back when I started writing my reviews, I came up with a
specific format. I use a very unique style of writing where I try to write the review as a journal entry. It’s all very
informal. I don’t have proper sentences and blah blah. I also italicize some sentences and these are usually some thoughts
that come to me while I’m writing. I know…I’m weird. That’s why people enjoy my writing. But you’ll
come to see that for yourself.
Thanks.
