Just when you think the story ends
somewhere, it doesn’t. Meredith has two sisters and a step mother. How many more surprises can a girl take? So she’s
trying to relax; she’s celibate. Let’s see how long this lasts now that she’s met the vet, Finn Dandridge.
There were obviously some sparks as Meredith made sure to concentrate on her knitting. Meredith fell for another one.
I’m glad the writers haven’t made Meredith the villain of the show. She
is the lead. But she’s going through some mild problems. And George isn’t completely pissed at her. I do believe
his speech to Thatcher to be genuine. He meant what he said:
Well, Meredith is anything but cold. She
smiles—not that often—but when she does, you know because she’s really going through a lot, but its... it’s
like you feel warm. She’s kind. I mean, she can be a little selfish... she can be... she’s flawed, but she’s
kind. She cares about people and uh...she cares about her patients. I think she’s going to be a brilliant surgeon. You
know, around here, she’s known as the one to beat. So I...I guess she has that in common with her mom, but...I think
the rest of her, I think the rest of that, she gets from you.
I think this was a beautiful scene. Not only did Thatcher feel happy;
Meredith did as well. Although he didn’t stick round to hear Meredith say thank-you, the point was made. George still
cares about her. He even tells Izzie that he can’t get her out of his mind. It’s always been a crush and that’s
how it’ll stay.
I like George again. Roll your
eyes and do whatever you want to do. He really is a good guy. Like Meredith, he’s going through some problems. Maybe
running away from them is the solution to his problems. I may not be the best one, but everyone has their own way of dealing
things. Besides, he cared enough to tell Izzie about Meredith’s sister Molly. He didn’t want it to be his problem
anymore. He got it off his chest and moved on. It’s funny what he said though: Meredith is all over him. Everywhere
he turns, he is reminded of her. If it isn’t Thatcher, or Izzie telling him to make up with her, it’s Meredith
herself. George cannot deny the fact that he’s going to have to make up with her sooner or later. I just want sooner
rather than later.
Izzie is going on her gossip egg-hunt trying to figure out what he likes
about Callie. She couldn’t care less for Callie, but George does. I love when Izzie gets like this. She gets all personal
(and mean). But George’s absence at home is really hitting Izzie hard. She lost her best friend. She doesn’t get
to talk about her sex life, or herself any longer because George was the person she talks to. Now he’s not there anymore.
But you always know Izzie’s going to have some kind of gossip. She just knows everything. And sooner or later, her relationship
with Denny is going to be what everyone’s talking about.
Denny is hysterical. He’s perfect for our Izzie. I liked his comments
about wanting to get into Izzie’s pants. The guy can hardly breathe and he wants to have sex with Izzie. She’s going to kill him if they ever have sex. But Denny makes her laugh and that’s what Izzie really
needs. I loved the comment about Denny asking to see only one boob. It’s those kinds of comments that make the scenes
with Denny great. Here’s hoping he can have a new heart.
Dear Diary
Cristina: So I got George kicked out. Yeah, it really is a good feeling. So I couldn’t
decide what to do. He had actually invited Callie over. We played a stupid game and Burke didn’t know who Madonna was.
So then I took a class and Webber was in there. He told me that everything had to be done with the basics. He operated with
his eyes closed. This guy’s amazing. He told me to go back to the basics. So I decided to walk around the apartment
naked. Burke literally kicked George out. At least he’s gone. I couldn’t have him in the house anymore. Playing
trumpet, cooking, and running, and bonding…I could kill him.
George: Do I care about Callie? I do. She seems to be the only one who actually notices
me. And I like her. It’s just weird how she lives in the hospital. I see this place all day and she happens to live
there. I don’t know if I can handle this much hospital. But it beats being in Meredith’s house. I try so hard
to escape her, and I’m always reminded of her. I met her sister today. Meredith didn’t know Molly was her sister.
Of course I didn’t want to handle it; I let Izzie take care of it. When can I finally forget her? I’m trying though.
I’m staying with Callie and I’m cutting my hair again (Callie says). So I’m trying. I really am trying.
Today’s Baileyisms
- “Yeah, I pissed off the Chief. I had a baby. I gave birth. I created a human life. I'm a surgeon, we don’t do
that. He’s Mommy-tracking me.”
- “No, I change
diapers. I...I clean spit up. I sing the ABCs, I am covered in mommy. But that does NOT mean I will be mommy-tracked.”
Quotable Quotes
- Joe: “Dude, is she knitting?”
Derek: “You know, as a friend, I gotta tell you, you look a
little weird.”
Meredith: “I’m making a sweater.”
Joe: “You’re knitting. In a bar. You can’t knit in a bar,
you’re scaring the customers.”
- Callie (to George): “Apparently we think alike.”
Cristina: “Wow. Can’t believe you’re proud of that.”
- Susan: “Sorry. My husband tells me I have to try not to be such a Mother Lion because Moll’'s a grown woman
and has her own life and everything. But... roar.”
- Izzie: “I’m George’s best friend.”
Callie: “Oh, I see. Well it’s just funny cause from what
I understand, as his best friend you haven’t been the best matchmaker in the past.”
- George: “I can’t escape her.”
Izzie: “What?”
George: “All I want to do is forget her. All I want to do is
escape her and, you know, I can’t.”
Izzie: “You want to escape Callie? Thank god! Because she is,
like, a total freak and I was starting to get really worried about you... not Callie. Sorry. Oops. Who, or, uh, oh, Meredith...
again.” I love Izzie.
- Meredith: “The weird thing is, I thought I just saw my father.”
Izzie: “Oh! That’s good, that’s so good.”
Cristina: “Great. Did you meet your sister too?” Just spit
it out Cristina.
- Chief: “They call me Dr. Webber. That’s why I’m the Chief.”
- Denny: “Just show me one boob?”
Some Final Notes
- Meredith is knitting
at Joe’s. I think that does scare customers away.
- Izzie on countless
times made fun of Callie’s name. It isn’t even a name.
- Cristina gets competitive
over a tiny game of whatever she was playing with George and Callie.
- Burke didn’t
know Madonna.
- Molly Thompson
sounds like a nice girl. Her sister Lexi is studying to become a doctor.
- Bailey wasn’t
on the board. Are people not treating her the same? She still looks like the ‘Nazi’ to me. And sounds like her
too.
- I loved the story
with Mrs Carver. She lied to her daughter about her condition all this time. She finally tells her in a heartbreaking scene.
One of the best.
- Alex is stirring
up a lot of trouble. He pisses off Burke this week. He says telling patients the truth is the only thing he’s got going
for him.
- The Chief competing
with Cristina was hysterical. Cristina won round one and the Chief won round 2.
- I liked how the
Chief tried hanging out with the cool kids at lunch. That didn’t last long.
- Andrew, the spelling
champion, was a great story. I was freaking out when he started slurring his words in the OR. Beautiful story.
- Molly said her
father Thatch cried at her wedding.
- Meredith grabbed
Callie’s leftover cast stuff and started smashing them into pieces.
- George is Callie’s
McDreamy.
- Thatcher said he
used to look at the OR board every day holding baby Meredith. He used to wait for Ellis every day.
- Thatcher wasn’t
too pleased with seeing Webber. I’m guessing he knows.
- Callie lives in
the hospital. That’s weird. It seems George is living with her. Cristina had to kick him out.
Another good one. 4 stars
