Excellent. This was probably one of the best episodes ever.
I got a kick out of watching stoned Meredith make a fool of herself. Also, Mark Sloan is part of the Seattle Grace team and
has already started to butt heads with Bailey. Burke and Cristina have some dirty laundry. Izzie gets the surprise of her
life. And…oh yeah. How could I forget? Meredith CHOSE McDreamy!
In the name of all that is sweet and holy in this world,
please promise me that Finn will be back. I have a feeling that he won’t. I wanted him to stay with Meredith. He is
so much better for her. We have to follow our hearts though. Meredith followed hers. Screw
that. It isn’t too late to get Finn back. Meredith was the core of the episode this week and it was nice to see
a different side to Ellen Pompeo. I was cracking up every time I saw drugged-Meredith. It was fun because we saw an innocent
Meredith. We weren’t watching the dirty-ex-mistress Meredith. Don’t get
me wrong. I love that Meredith. I particularly liked when Meredith was being rolled out of her room and saw McSteamy.
That was classic. The two dirty adulterers hanging out. That was cool.
Meredith and Finn’s talk in her hospital room was great.
Again, it goes to show how much of a range Ellen Pompeo has. In one episode, she makes the audience laugh and cry. It was
sad to watch Finn leave, but that’s life. Deal with it.
I have to respect Derek. He proves he truly cares for Meredith
and in the end, he was the better man. Deep down, he knew he was going to hurt her again. He loves her too much to stay. He
cannot be with her. The conversation with Webber was well done. Derek needed to hear the truth from one of his mentors. After
all, Webber did have to go through this with Ellis and Adele. He made the right choice by staying with Adele. Now he ruined
that relationship too.
Sloan is back. He’s working in the hospital of course.
Now we’re also going to have story lines revolving around plastic surgery. It’s going to be fun watching an ass
vs. an ass (Alex). Alex is finally going to get to know the real Mark. I couldn’t be any happier. I’m glad Addison let him go. One thing: every time I
hear Sloan’s name I think of Arvin Sloane from Alias. They are both evil.
Addison has some soul searching to do. She’s
at the end of the road. I loved the expression on her face when she thought Meredith was pregnant. I really love Kate Walsh.
Addison’s talk with Bailey was classic. This has happened on numerous occasions. Bailey is the only person
Addison can talk to. She respects Bailey and more than that…idolizes her. She is a great role model.
Bailey always seems to have the answer to everything. Addison is going through some problems. She lost her husband to Meredith and feels
like if she could go back, she wouldn’t try and get her husband back. I think Addison knew from the beginning
that she wasn’t going to win him back. I felt it. It happened.
Talk about dirty laundry. Cristina and Burke definitely have
some issues. Is Burke that selfish that he can’t tell Cristina to shut up and tell Derek the truth? He’s been
having tremors. I thought he would be more honourable. I thought he cared more for his patients than his reputation. Looks like Cristina might be getting into some trouble soon. How are they going to fool all those nurses during
a surgery? Burke can lose his license. What’s the harm in waiting a bit?
Izzie has 8,7 million dollars. I did not see that one coming.
How about Mr. Duquette? Why would Denny leave his parents? I’m sure there’s
some more dirty laundry there. How did Denny get all that money? What is Izzie going to do with all that money? Shonda, if you’re reading this … please give me the money.
Dear Diary:
Izzie: Denny left me 8.7
million dollars. Where did he get that money? I got the cheque from his father. At first, I sensed he was a bit mean. But
he apologized and everything. Also, I put the cheque on our refrigerator. I don’t know what to do with it. I want something
good to come from the money. I paid off all my debts. I don’t need the money for anything. I don’t know how long
I can do this anymore. I listened to Denny’s message he left for his parents. I started crying. Hearing his voice again
was too much for me. I miss him a lot.
Meredith: I chose Derek.
I chose Derek. I had a weird day. This morning, I started with a weird stomach ache. Then, I threw up. Then I threw up again.
McSteamy is also working in the hospital. Can you say weird? So anyways, they took out my appendix. I was drugged this whole
time and I made a fool of myself. Then, Derek told me to choose Finn over him. I realized that Derek was the one. He is the
one.
Today’s Baileyisms
-
You know as well as I do it's not about what
you look like, or your job, or how successful you are. It's about having people in your life that you love and who love you...
that's all that matters.
- And also, you can remember, that no man, not
Derek, not Mark, defines who you are.
Quotable Quotes
- Burke: “I need more chickens.”
Cristina: “No more chickens. Okay? It’s bad enough that Meredith is dating a vet, I am not dating a chicken surgeon.”
- Derek (to Meredith): “You're
burning up. You don't look fine. You look beautiful, but you don't look fine.”
Cristina: “Now I'm gonna throw up.”
- Cristina: “Holy crap, are you pregnant?!”
(everyone hears this)
Addison: “An adulterous love child?!”
Derek:
“Goes along with an adulterous sociopath.”
- Meredith: “I can’t be pregnant, can I?”
Cristina: “With a McBaby!”
Meredith: “Was I this mean to you when you were pregnant?”
- Meredith: “You're a good friend.”
Cristina: “So high right now.”
Meredith: “Actually, you're my best friend in the whole entire world.”
Cristina: “I just feel sorry for you.”
Meredith: “Why? Because I could die today.”
Cristina: “This is why I hate being around stoned people.”
Meredith: “And if I did die today, I'd only be remembered as the slutty intern who dated two doctors.”
Cristina: “No, one doctor and one vet.”
Meredith: “Derek, Finn, Derek, Finn. I'd die as the girl who couldn't make a choice, right?”
Cristina: “Probably. But none of that matters, because you'll be dead.”
- Derek: “How’s Dr. Grey?”
Cristina: “Oh she’s not pregnant. With anyone’s baby! So…. Yeah.”
- Meredith (To George): “When I'm on the table, keep
me draped. Too many people have seen me naked already. I'd like to keep whatever dignity I have left.”
Meredith (sees Marc): “It's McSteamy. McSteamy! Yoo hoo!”
Mark:
“McSteamy? That's what your calling me now?”
Meredith: “Yes, but I don't think you are supposed to know.”
Mark:
“How's my favorite dirty mistress??”
Meredith: “Haven't you heard? Now I'm an adulterous whore!”
Some Final Notes
- Callie is out the door for good. Callie even
decides to sleep with Marc. What is up with her?
- I liked watching Meredith wanting to touch the
cheque.
- Finn’s hair really looked like a wig. I
heard he shaved his hair for an upcoming movie.
- Has Webber divorced his wife yet?
- Meredith and Addison’s conversation was
great. I want them to have a friendly relationship.
- I like how Cristina was against Meredith staying
with Finn. He’s just a vet.
- I loved the tension between Bailey and Sloan.
- I want Izzie back in the hospital.
Excellent. One of the best. 5 stars
