Seriously. I don’t get it. Why the negative reaction? When I heard Shonda was planning on creating a spinoff for
Kate Walsh’s character, I almost fell off my chair with happiness. In my mind, I knew we were going to get a second
hour of Grey’s Anatomy. That’s what it’s going to be.
First of all, Shonda Rhimes is going to be
behind it. I mean how bad can it be? I think Shonda has earned our respect. We trust her. She wouldn’t be doing this
if she had a bad feeling about it. She’s taken us through two and half flawless seasons of our favourite show. The woman
is smart, creative, and the best freakin’ writer now. I’ll tell you one thing: whatever she does, I’m watching.
I owe her that much.
Secondly, how can we deny Kate Walsh the privilege of having her own show? She deserves this.
Originally coming in as the duplicitous she-Shepherd, she became the character we all wanted to see more of. I for one am
exited. Just knowing that a show will focus on her character makes me want cry…of happiness. I do that a lot.
I
mean come on, and let’s face it: she is definitely underused on Grey’s Anatomy. It’s gotten to a point where
if I don’t see Kate Walsh ten minutes into an episode, I start spazzing. I’m not kidding.
This new show
can be a brand new concept or it can be similar to the original success, but whatever the show is like I’m going to
watch it. I’m excited that Taye Diggs is going to cast in the back-door pilot that will premiere in May. It’s
time this guy gets some kind of successful show. Imagine being known as a show killer. That’s bad.
There have
been many some successful spinoffs, but not many. I’m not worried though. With Shonda running the show, why worry? Anyway,
we’ll see what happens. I’ve heard a few of the other actors are pissed because Kate Walsh is getting her own
show. There ain’t much love on that set.
