I have to admit something. I’m not liking where this
is going. In fact, I didn’t like this episode. This is the problem: last season, there were many suspects. This season,
there aren’t any. There’s nothing on the mystery. And the whole thing with Hannah and Logan has become a weak
link. One good thing: Veronica and Jackie are hanging out.
Jackie is becoming Veronica’s new sidekick. Was that
the point of the character’s introduction on the show? She started out as a real bitch and turned out to be really nice.
She needed some life-changing experiences though to get her to this point. And
I think Veronica is responding well to her new attitude. I don’t know how much of an impact this new revelation about
the bombs will have on their new friendship. I think Veronica is going to try and stay away from her. I really hope not.
Being a homosexual in high school is hell. Mixed with the
immaturity of the students and the fear of coming out, homosexuals’ school life is hard. It really makes for a good
story. Ryan (Marco Oliveres’ boyfriend introduced in Ahoy Mateys) set up
a website where student homosexuals sign up and talk. They call it Pirate Ship. The whole story started when Ryan had gotten
mugged. In his wallet was the list of people using the website.
The guy who turned out to be mugging the pizza delivery guys
was Arturo, a PCHer hopeful. He wanted to join the gang, but was quickly cleared as the blackmailer because he couldn’t
even spell “blackmail.” Obviously, it couldn’t have been him. Obviously.
Did I like how it wrapped up with Kylie being the baddie? No, not really. She is a lesbian and I don’t like how she
tried to bring her girlfriend into it. I felt bad for Marlena. Why didn’t Veronica stand up for her? I thought that
was surprising. Veronica usually pounces on people like Madison. I have to give
Kylie props for coming up with the whole thing. I’m glad the pizza mugger had nothing to do with the Pirate Ship. It
offered a clean finish. I didn’t love the end, but it was clean.
Time goes on and I’m still not liking Hannah with Logan. He has successfully ripped
her away from her father. Dr. Griffith is working with the Fitzpatricks and he is freaked out about his daughter dating the
badass in town. Logan seems to have finally won her over. What are his intentions though? Does he
genuinely care for Hannah or is he just in it to get back at Dr. Griffith.
Keith is on a wild goose chase still looking for a way to
clear Terrench Cook’s name. During the bus crash, he was at a casino. They have video footage of him at the hotel except
footage between 7:01 and 7:05. He could have easily stepped outside
to make a phone call. Now, Veronica has found bombs and detonators in his private hangar. This is not good.
The Bus Crash Files
-
Keith was not able to obtain video footage
of Terrence from 7:01 to 7:05.
-
Bombs and detonators were found in his private

Quotable Quotes
-
Corny: “I was thinking, ‘Damn.
What if Amy arrives at the door in her unmentionables.’ That would have been sweet.”
-
Veronica: “Are we working for accused
mass murderers now?”
-
Veronica: “Jackie and I aren’t
exactly the sisterhood of the traveling pants.”
Keith: “Where
as you just warm up to people.”
-
Dick: “Dude, why are lesbians always
so pissed off?” He has to comment on everything.
-
Dick: “You
date Logan, he's nailed for murder. You date Duncan, he's wanted for kidnapping. You get put on Robbie and Hunter's jury, they get sent to
Chino. You're like rich dude Kryptonite, Veronica.”
-
Logan: “My first girlfriend got murdered. My last girlfriend
nearly got shot by a PCHer drive-by. Colour me crazy, but I see a pattern. I’m trying to protect you.”
-
Carmen: “Like people even
remember my scandal any more. Pleasuring inanimate objects was so 2005.”
-
Jackie: “I can even drop
you off around the block if you're worried about being seen together.”
Veronica: “Yes, please. By all means,
protect my reputation.”
Some Final Notes
-
I hate those school newscasts. Kylie decided
to come out during the last episode. I know. I hate a lot of things.
-
Carmen says she’s called a “coconut.”
She’s brown on the outside, but white on the inside.
-
Keith tried desperately hard not to gamble.
He didn’t even want to gamble two bucks. Good guy.
-
No one can use their phones inside a casino.
The things they think of.
-
Taping people to a pole on Veronica Mars is common. Arturo was this week’s victim.
-
Does everyone use Mac as their website administrator?
She’s so smart.
-
The bus crash was on September 13th.
I didn’t know that.
-
Peter Ferraire was another victim of the bus
crash. He was gay.
-
Leonard Lobo seems like a scary guy. He’s
really pissed at Terrence. He wants his money.
Not enough. 2 stars
