This should have been the season premiere. Vintage Veronica Mars. When the show can make you laugh, cry (in some people’s cases), and freak you out, you know
it’s a classic. When I first watched last week’s episode, I thought it was a good opener. After I watched this
week’s, the premiere is easily forgettable. The characters were also back to their usual selves. We saw the snappy Logan return to true from. Also,
Mac got a reality check and started to care for Parker. I thought that was nice.
It’s great to watch Veronica go undercover again. She
could be the next Sydney Bristow. Alias is gone. I can dream, can’t I? I
loved that she had to go undercover in a sorority. That’s classic. Veronica used to be one of these girls. She used
to enjoy wearing flower patterns and fixing her hair. She still knows how to act like that Veronica though. The Zeta Theta
Betas were hysterical. I would laugh if I entered a room with singing sorority girls. Depending on whether you agree with
the existence of sororities on college campuses, we all must agree that they have a nice house. It looks better than Wallace’s
dorm room. I loved the idea of the “secret room.” Did Parker go inside? Did she see this room? I don’t think
the Theta Betas are innocent. They have something they’re hiding, apart for the marijuana plants. On a side note, a
few seeds wouldn’t create a whole forest of marijuana plants. There’s more going on.
Sheriff Lamb went too far when he alluded to Veronica’s
rape. How was Veronica supposed to know that Parker was getting raped? Ya and I also
thought that Parker was a slut. That’s the importance of a good first impression. Veronica assumed the buzzing was
something else. Although Parker is going through hell, she should know not to accuse Veronica. I am glad though that Parker
has decided to stay. She’s a great friend for Mac to have. Who knows? Maybe they can even help each other.
The B-plot with the sociology assignment was fun. That looks
like such a fun assignment. I would take anything over a 20-page paper. It was
fitting to have Wallace and Logan on opposite ends. Are these two considered friends? They placed a fun bet. I’m surprised
Wallace was so daring to accept to bet. I could never do that. When I first watched the episode, I completely forgot about
it and I watched Logan run in naked. I didn’t understand. When I re-watched it, it finally clicked.
Boy Meets World alum Rider Strong played the abusive guard Rafe. The assignment
tried depicting prisons in a time of war. Torture is used. This is what Dr. Kinney (their teacher) was going for. When a country
is being threatened, anything goes. Wallace was smart when he changed the time on the clock. The prisoners got confused. The
guards won. I would have never thought of that.
I was hoping that Veronica would stay with the newspaper.
She is so good at what she does. She definitely has a career in journalism. It was a smart move on her part. She couldn’t
stop the article from being published. I still don’t think having that much marijuana in a basement is necessarily right.
Some of the girls in there looked like they were high. Am I wrong?
This was an important episode for Mac. For the past two episodes,
she has been unsupportive and moody around Parker. I’m glad she acted like the older sister. She has matured from the
last episode. When it came down to someone she was close to, her whole mentality changed. She became sensitive. She began
to care. Mac is back.

Parker says she was at a Zeta Theta Beta party.
She was drunk and she was brought back to her dorm in the safety vehicle.
-
Veronica says the rape happened ay 11:45. She was in the room at the time.
-
Veronica infiltrates the Zeta Theta Betas.
She says she wants to be part of the girls. She was told there’s a room in the basement where girls are forced to strip

There was no such thing. There was only a
room full of marijuana.

Quotable Quotes
-
Parker (to
Veronica): “Thanks for thinking I’m the world’s biggest slut.”
-
Veronica: “What’s really worse:
getting girls to undress in front of a two way mirror, or getting them to dress like a fifties vacuum ad first?”
-
Veronica (voice-over):
“Cucumber sandwiches and lemonade. I’m really going to blow the lid off sorority malfeasance.”
-
Veronica: “I guess ‘dress to impress’
meant dress-up like your favourite ‘pussycat doll.’”
-
Veronica: “Oh my God! What are you doing here?”
Dick: “Fulfilling my destiny. It’s a sorority party. It’s why I left the womb.”
-
Veronica (voice-over):
“ The best way to keep a guy ten feet away? Dry heave. Vomit in the new mace.”
-
Marjorie: “You want to know the definition
of ‘ironic’? we voted you in. We wanted you to be one of us.”
-
Keith: “Sup?”
Veronica: “I’m
not acknowledging that.”
Some Final Notes
-
Notice how I didn’t speak much about
Keith. That’s probably because I didn’t find the story very interesting. I’m glad they closed the chapter
on this and he can move on. Although many think Kendall didn’t die, she died.
-
I felt bad for Hogwash. The kid went through
hell.
-
Veronica didn’t interact much with Logan this week. I think LoVe is on its way out.
-
Veronica has a job in the library.
-
I liked Marjorie. How did she ever get involved
with a sorority?
Excellent. 5 stars
