This
is why I love Alias. The episode encompassed every element of the show. We got Sydney’s family life, her social life, and her professional life. There was a perfect balance
between all of these three elements that make this show great. Loved the episode.
My favourite scene had to have been the scene on the Santa Monica pier. Sydney, under all that courage and strength, is a troubled young woman. She feels
the effects of pain, solitude, and rejection. She hasn’t fully recovered from Danny’s death and is mentioned of
the tragedy every day by looking at Sloane across the boardroom desk. She is not able to truly confess her feelings to her
two best friends. She looks for the single second at home where she can give a fraction of the truth. She cries inside and
Francie cannot hear her sorrow. Furthermore, her father is too intimidated by his daughter. He can’t sit alone across
his daughter and talk. It’s unknown to Jack. They are merely strangers. Sydney is ready
to make the commitment. Jack is not ready. There must be some hidden secrets of his past he keeps buried under that stiff
and intimidating figure.
Sydney and Vaughn really got close. From the car wash scene
to the scene on the pier, we got a real connection. I didn’t know that Sydney thought
that Vaughn had a wife. He says he has a girlfriend and he had a huge fight. Boy, he really looked pissed. I personally like
Michael Vaughn. He’s a good friend for Sydney to have. He is her only confidante. He knows she’s a double agent. He
feels the pain she has endured. He has grown to know and care for his agent. What he said on the pier really did move me.
It was great writing.
Francie had some great work this week. She always puts a
smile on my face. Sydney actually got to do some spy work with her best friend. They were spying on
Charlie. Sydney was even giving her friend some spy advice. Will tried to mend the awkwardness
of “The Kiss” by kissing Sydney again. That was even more awkward. Furthermore, he finds out that Danny was
not registered at a medical conference and he wasn’t traveling with Sydney. He was
traveling with a woman named Kate Jones, but Kate Jones is one of Sydney’s aliases.
Will is getting closer to Sydney’s secret. Get scared.
We got some more Rambaldi and Anna Espinosa. The Golden Sun
is a synthetic polymer. Am I supposed to know what that means? SD-6 found the church’s co-ordinates by using the completed
code in Berlin. The Sol d’Oro (Golden Sun) was made 500 years ago. I’m lost with
this mystery. However, Sloane said that for the last ten years of Rambaldi’s life, he was working on a big project.
Rambaldi has become SD-6’s main priority. We’re getting more of this guy. Meanwhile, Sydney and Anna had an awesome
fight in Malaga. Sydney beat her.

Some Finale Notes
-
It feels like I’ve covered everything.
-
Syd had a great fight with the guy who had
broken her arm in Corsica.
-
We heard of SD-3.
-
This week’s cliffhanger: Sydney is suspended over a covert surgery.
I loved the episode. As
long as we have more Rambaldi and Anna Espinosa, I’ll be happy. 4 out of 5 stars.
