Or in some cases dress down. If you wanted season one quality,
this episode had it all. I was in tears during most of the episode and the writers did a great job with hiding Marcia Cross’
little exit. I’m going to miss her, but at least Edie is getting more things to do.
Her attraction to Carlos was hysterical. Coming up his driveway
with little tight shorts, she never realized the great abs he had. I wish I had them
to. Wouldn’t it be great to have women like Nicolette Sheridan running after you? But back to the topic at hand.
I can’t figure her out. Was her whole stripping scene just a ruse or was she in fact serious? I couldn’t tell.
It seemed genuine and I really hope it was because Sheridan played her heart out of that.
If you’re going to fill the void of Marcia Cross’
departure, you gotta do it with Edie. The seduction scene was classic as she wore an obviously attractive leopard on her.
That thing was ready to come off. Was she really happy that Carlos said that about
her—that she’s a slut? Did it make her feel better? Did it make her feel accepted? Is the Edie she has displayed
all this time just an all-out bitch? I don’t think so. But by the way it was played out, Edie seems to have changed…with
Carlos in his bedroom right next to her—naked.
Susan is finally making me laugh again. When Ian was thinking
back on all of Susan’s klutziness, I just couldn’t stop laughing, especially when she popped the cork in his eye.
I have to agree with her though. Why does she have to sign the prenup? In the middle of the episode I agreed with Ian. If
she loves him so much she should just sign the papers. But then I thought that’s what marriage is all about. If you
marry someone, you’re not looking forward to divorce. Susan using Graham’s cross-dressing issue was great. I’m
glad she came up with the idea on her own.
Is there a sane mother on Wisteria Lane? Susan’s mom is a sex addict. So is Gabrielle’s for that matter. She adds a cherry at the top with her fake boobs. Then Rex’s mom is a total psycho who needed to get slapped
from Bree just so she can stop sobbing all the time. And now, Ian’s mother is a turn-the-other-way-and-inheritance-obsessed
woman who wants to drive her son’s women crazy. I’m surprised they didn’t have a problem with Ian marrying
someone so soon. I nearly did laughing though when Susan lit her on fire. Such a Susan thing to do.
I really love where this Gabby/Victor relationship is going.
His reaction when she mentioned his ex-wife was so fake I could see through him. I just laughed and laughed when Gabrielle
put on every dress she liked. That was a library of couture. So Gabrielle has fallen for Victor. He’s brought some nice
flavour to Gabby’s side of the show. He’s kind of replacing Carlos even though I want those two to end up together.
Was I the only one who was a bit underwhelmed with the Tom
lying on the floor unconscious? I wanted something worse to happen. Yes, I am morbid.
It’s going to be interesting though to see her run the restaurant. Once again, Lynette is going to hold the family on
her shoulders. Tom is going to be out for four-five months. I also loved her deciding to wear the orange shirt. That argument
was kind of silly though.
Desperate Moments
This week’s moment
goes to Edie Britt being called a slut. That was harsh and this led to her strip scene in front of Carlos. Was she just desperate
for some sex though? I hope this wasn’t the case. She might be my favourite housewife now.
More moments: Susan lighting
Ian’s mother on fire, Susan forced to sign the prenup agreement, Lynette finding Tom on the floor, Lynette and her power
trip at the restaurant (aka the orange shirt), Gabby getting her dress ripped off in the bathroom…Desperate times call
for desperate measures.
The Neighborhood Watch
Katey Price’s Report
You won’t believe who I saw walking into Gabby’s
house. You really won’t. It was Victor Lang. You know, the one running for mayor (or something rather). Is Gabby doing
him? I have to keep checking on that. He looks kind of angry too. Oooo. This must be juicy. I wonder how Carlos is going to
feel when he sees her going out with the guy. So much.
Then, you had to see Edie stare at Carlos’s abs as
she was going to pick up her son. If I told you what she was wearing…talk about total slutness. Does she even care about
her boy? She’s using Travers to get close to Carlos. I hope she doesn’t ruin their relationship because they seem
to have fun together.
I also saw Susan talking intimately with Mike. Ooo. Are they
going to start doing it again? They were a perfect couple. He’s just beautiful. She’s just a klutz, but the combination
is hot. I need a hot man. I really do.
Quotable Quotes
-
Mary Alice: “Yes, Ian Hainsworth knew
his love for Susan was indestructible. Unfortunately for his mother, chiffon was not.” No it isn’t.
-
Edie: “I’ve been this close to
doing my gardener.”
Gabrielle: “Been
there. Done that.”
-
Susan: “With Karl, I was more divorce
an ass and seize the assets.” You don’t say that Susan.
-
Gabrielle (about
the dresses): “Shhh. They can hear you.”
-
Gabrielle: “Every day it stays in a
closet an angel loses its virgins.”
-
Ian: “I’m not like my father.”
Susan: “Trust
me he’s not.” He’s not a cross-dresser.
-
Lynette (to
Kim): “I heard one of your customers say when Halloween comes around we should stick a candle in your mouth.”
Poor Kim.
-
Carlos: “Edie, what are you doing?”
Edie: “Learning
about flaps.”
-
Edie: “You think I’m promiscuous?”
Carlos: “Well
I’m saying for a home in a cul-de-sac this home sees a lot of traffic.” That is kind of rough.
Some Final Notes
-
I loved the opening clips of Susan being klutzy.
LOL.
-
I feel bad for Mike. He thought his pancake
experience with Susan was a chick flick but it really happened. They have to end up together.
-
Lynette is right; orange doesn’t look
great on her.
-
I think Gabrielle wanted to do every single
piece of clothing in Lang’s closet. The ex-wife was hysterical actually wanting her to take it off in the bathroom.
How are those two the same size?
-
Edie broke her kid’s plane just do she
can keep Carlos on her couch. She is good at what she does. I love her.
-
Lynette was great when she sat down with the
waiters to get them to talk to Tom about the uniforms.
-
Susan saw Ian stare at her and Mike in the
frontyard. She has quick eyes.
-
Susan was genius when she used the cross-dressing
dirt against Ian’s father Graham. That was smart.
-
Can I have more naked Nicolette Sheridan scenes?
Please.
Excellent episode. 5 stars
