That was weird. I never thought Shannon and Boone were that close. It could have been a one-time thing, but still, it’s weird. The
flashbacks were great though. We learnt a lot about both characters and a whole lot more about the Island. There were too many things that happened in the episode. I feel some ranting
coming on.
First of all, am I the only person who never saw the Boone/Shannon
relationship coming? So far, I’ve been hearing people saying that all this explains their awkward relationship. They
never had an awkward relationship. They’re siblings. They are supposed to fight. I
feel lost. Although the episode clearly focused on Boone, a substantial part was also dedicated to Shannon.
She’s a conniving witch who manipulates her brother into giving her money. She plays a helpless girl all to get Boone
to pay her boyfriends off so she can run away with the money. She makes me sick.
We learnt that Boone’s mother refused to help Shannon. She’s broke and she has nowhere to go. I found it awkward watching Shannon
trying to seduce her half-brother. I slowly caught on. Even though they slept together once, somehow, the relationship was
more meaningful.
Aside from the weird glances and the weird stares, every
move Boone makes is directed towards saving his sister. He’s always thinking about her. Although he always made fun
of her, he always loved her. When he watched her flirt with Sayid, it wasn’t his brotherly instincts that reacted, it
was his sexual emotions reacting. He couldn’t handle watching another man seduce her on his watch. She was supposed
to be all his. This is weird. Unfortunately, the whole thing backfired. Turns out
she never truly was attracted to him. It was a one night secret that she hoped to keep locked up forever. To Shannon,
that night was insignificant. He was insignificant.
To overcome this constant obsession with her, Locke drugged
Boone. Locke wanted to stir Boone out of Shannon’s direction. His feelings for her oftentimes clouded his judgment. He
had to focus on the true objective: opening the hatch. I was slightly confused. Shannon’s screams
were all in his head? Everything was fake? I couldn’t quite understand. I think I missed something. It could have just
been hallucinations.
The hatch has become an obsession for me. What is inside
the hatch? It looks like some weird alien thing. I hope it’s not. The writers are hyping this storyline. In the near
future, Locke is going to try and open the hatch. I wonder if he’s break through. I enjoyed listening to his story about
Michelangelo. It was fitting. I had never heard that part of Michelangelo’s life. You
learn something new every day.
Locke is fascinating. He has a way of manipulating everyone.
I liked his comment about not being one of the cool kids in school. Sadly, I believe it. He’s had some bad luck in his
day. Locke had already prepared the drug before Boone even told him about Shannon. Obviously, he had already
planned on attacking Boone. Everything was premeditated. Ironically, Locke didn’t know how the drug would affect Boone.
He was satisfied with the result. Boone is finally over Shannon.
I really like Sun. She’s being so productive. She and
her husband have contributed enormously and I’m glad there’s no more segregation. The garden was a beautiful touch
and I’m hoping to see the outcome. Jin also had some great moments with Hurley. I couldn’t stop laughing during
every Hurley scene. Jorge Garcia is a genius. I absolutely love him. He adds a nice twist to a serious show. I liked when
Hurley attempted to get Jin to pee on his foot. Classic.

Dear Diary
Boone: I saw her die. I
saw her run from the monster and die. I was holding her in my hands. I felt like crying. She’s my sister. Locke was
behind it. He drugged me. He said it was time to get over her. He said if I wanted to work with him, I would have to forget
about her. Maybe I have. When I went back to camp, I saw her talking with Sayid. She always has been a bitch. It’s time
I got over her. How could I have ever loved her? She goes from man to man. I know her. She’s using Sayid to get whatever
she wants. I won’t let her take control of him.

Charlie: “Who Locke? Guy's a freak of nature. Highly disturbed. Chances are he probably killed all his
mates at the post office the day his mum forgot to put a cookie in this lunch tin. That was my first impression anyway. Then
he saved my life.”
Jack: “Then you trust him?”
Charlie: “Trust him? No offense mate, but if there was one person on this
island that I would out my absolute faith to save us all, it would be John Locke.”
-
Boone (to Shannon): “So the player got played.
Poetic, don't you think?”
