Wait a second! What was the whole truth? There was no whole truth. We still don’t know who Sun’s baby’s father. Come on! I want to know these things. I’ve got my guesses. What are yours? Besides from this, the episode was kind of a dud. I really appreciated both Kim’s acting, but the episode had no meat in it.

          It’s evident. Daniel Dae Kim and Yun Jun Kim can definitely put on a beautiful performance. These two have great chemistry. This time though, the flashbacks just weren’t good enough. All the important scenes happened on the island. So why was Mr. Lee back? Wasn’t he supposed to run off with some American chick and leave Sun behind? Isn’t that it? Then why is he back? I don’t want him back. There’s no doubt Sun slept with him after he so desperately asked her to stay for him. Which begs to bring up the question: who’s the father of Sun’s baby?

          My guess is Jin. The last time we had a hint that she got some from Jin was when he returned from the Tailies’ and Hurley gave him the thumbs up. I died laughing when I saw this. Furthermore, I strongly believe in the island’s healing powers. If it could heal Locke’s legs, it could certainly heal Jin’s…erm…problem. It can’t be Mr. Lee’s baby because the last time she must have seen him was a while ago. She would have already realized she was pregnant back in Korea. Also, would it be possible that Charlie raped her before he left. I don’t want to think it’s that.

          I felt bad for Dr. Kim. He was too scared to tell Jin that he won’t be able to have children because he was the problem. It’s so true though. He would surely go out of business if he ever told a man this. The machoness of a man is one of the most important traits to have. If you can’t have children, it’s a sign of emasculation.

          I loved how Jin handled the news though. He didn’t dare accuse Sun of cheating. He knows her better than that. It turns out she’s lying though. She definitely slept in another man’s bed and she definitely betrayed her husband. As long as Jin is happy, that’s all that counts right? This is a toughie. The truth is going to come to the surface one day and it’s not going to be pretty. For now, let Jin think this was all a miracle.

          Finally, Miss Ana Lucia was brought down to freak out Henry. Can I just mention how much I’ve grown to love her? She’s calm, cool, and down to the point. She went in and asked for something no one else did; a map to the freakin’ balloon. And as I suspected, there isn’t going to be a balloon. Our adventurers will land into some major problems if they don’t smarten up and be careful.

          I loved Ana’s talk with Sayid. She’s sick and tired of everyone hating her. I don’t blame her. The only person who should hate her doesn’t. She really appreciates that I think. You really know she’s sorry. I love how Sayid has realized that it was the Others’ fault Shannon died. This is why he’s so determined to prove that Henry is an Other. He wants to take some kind of action. It’s going to be good. While we’re on the subject of Ana Lucia, what the hell is Charlie’s problem? First of all, why is he carrying a gun? He probably can’t lift it he’s so small. Also, how dare he try to criticize Ana Lucia. He is the biggest loser on the island. He went after Sun so I don’t see how he feels he has the right to tease Ana Lucia when he gave the gun to Sayid right in front of her eyes in that manner. I can’t STAND HIM.

Spotlight on…Sun (and a bit of Jin)

-          Jin and Sun are trying to have a child. Jin says they should see a fertility doctor. They’ve been trying for a year with no success. Sun doesn’t know why he wants a child since he’ll never see it because he always works. He promises to get a safer job so he can live with the baby.

-          Sun goes into a hotel room. She meets Mr. Lee there. He’s speaking to her in English. She is learning English from him. Sun is worried Jin will find out.

-          Jin and Sun are visiting a fertility doctor. He tells the couple that Sun cannot have children. Jin is angry because he thinks Sun knew and didn’t tell him. He storms off angry.

-          Sun tells Mr. Lee about her fertility problems. She says she’s glad she can’t have children. He tells her that he doesn’t know why she still comes. She’s been fluent for a while. She says she wants to go to America. That’s why she wanted to learn English. He wants her to stay. Not for Jin.

-          Dr. Kim comes to visit Sun. He tells her that it’s not her who is impotent; it’s Jin. He couldn’t tell them the truth at his office.

Tales from the Island

Sun: I’m pregnant. You had to see Jin’s face when he found out. He was so happy. He was so proud. I couldn’t tell him the truth. The baby can’t be his. I told him what Dr. Kim told me and he still thinks it was a miracle. He thinks he’s been cured. I don’t know though. Can Jae be the father? Who is the father? How can Jin be cured? Worse: He doesn’t know that I was sleeping with another man. I lied to him. How can I live with this?

Quotable Quotes

-          Sun (to Jin): “I don’t need you to protect me.”

-          Rose: “He’s just mad at the world because he forgot my birthday.”

-          Henry: “You walked across the island? All the way? That must have been fun.”

Ana Lucia: “It had its moments.” Henry knows damn well what those moments were.

-          Sun: “How’s your book?”

Sawyer: “Predictable. Not nearly enough sex.” Of course.

-          Henry: “You guys have some real trust issues, don’t you?” Shut up!

-          Hurley (about the candy bar): “Hey Sun look what I found in the middle of the jungle. It’s not even melted or anything. Crazy huh?” Poor guy.

-          Sun: “I was trying to catch the son of a fisherman.” Sun, that’s harsh.

-          Charlie (about Sayid): “Humor is not his strongpoint.”

-          Charlie: “Who wants breakfast? I have papayas and papayas.”

Some Final Notes

-          I can’t believe Jin just ripped apart Sun’s garden. I’m glad he came back to fix it though. They both rebuilt it together. That was nice.

-          Locke is starting to so things behind Jack’s back and vice versa: Locke asked Ana Lucia for help and Jack let Henry out of the hatch. Why would you let Henry out of the hatch?

-          Bernard forgot Rose’s birthday. He was trying to find an oyster so he could get a pearl for Rose. That’s nice.

-          Ana Lucia mentioned Nathan to Henry. She’s still angry over that.

-          Sun asked Sawyer for some medical stuff. I have to hand it to Sawyer. He has everything in that tent of his.

-          I laughed when Sun saw Hurley eating a candy bar. They both froze.

-          Widmore manufactured the pregnancy tests.

-          I like how Kate stayed with Sun while they found out.

-          Sayid is making dining-room tables.

-          Jin finally understood what “Daddy-O” meant when Sawyer called him that.

-          Jin told Sun “I love you” in English. That was nice.

-          Henry wanted to see if Locke and Jack knew about the map he drew for Ana Lucia. They didn’t and he definitely knows they have trust issues.

Good in some spots, less good in others. 3 stars?
