Ok, so I don’t understand the title so I can’t
do any of my lame first sentences. I know French but it translates into “By Plane?” Huh? Can I just say how refreshing
it was to have Claire featured in an episode? Actually, she was the whole episode. Enjoy it folks because we won’t see
her for the rest of the season. I’m not kidding.
So Claire was all Goth. Interesting. I like her much better
with blonde hair. This way, she’s sweet little Claire. Gothic Claire is angry and violent. Take your pick. That aside,
I loved the flashbacks. It finally feels like they’re giving us answers. Yeah, most of us already figured out that Jack
and Claire are siblings, but it’s great to have confirmation. Some of the little
confirmation we’ll ever get.
Christian enjoys spreading his families around the world
doesn’t he? At least he had the decency to pay for all of Claire’s mother’s bills. I’m surprised he would do that. I couldn’t get though why he wanted her to kill her. Was he really
looking towards easing Claire’s pain? Did he want her to move on and just live a better life? I doubt it. I didn’t
get his motive, but I really did enjoy the scene where he’s drinking coffee with Claire. He tells her that he knows
the difference between hope and guilt. It’s a big one. I thought that was
some great fatherly advice.
Whether you believe the accident was an accident or intentional,
there is always going to be that guilt. Claire knows it was her fault. She might not have caused the crash, but she certainly
did a great job hyping it up, telling her mom that she hates her and all. This is the normal teenage talk, but you wouldn’t
expect Claire to actually ram the car into a truck.
And
you just had to love the scene with “grown-up” Claire crying in her mom’s hands. She caused this woman to
be unconscious for the rest of her life. Claire is pregnant and she can’t ask her mother for help. I had to love when
she asked her mom how she raised her alone. Intense and Beautiful.
Did
Claire actually buy us a ticket off the island? This girl has brains. I loved how she realized that the birds flying off the
island would return to scientists in Australia or somewhere. She was getting so excited. As
she should be. I loved watching her build the traps with Jin and Sun. Again, another fantastic moment for the show. Our
favourite lesser characters work together. I liked how Claire remembered that they still have to get off the island. Everyone
seems to have settled in nicely on the beach. HELLO! WAKE UP!
This
continuing storyline with Charlie never gets old. I still can’t bear the thought of getting rid of him, even if I can’t
stand him. I’m not joking. I hate him. But, Damon and Carlton are definitely going to kick him off. Let’s add some shock value because
if we don’t have enough already. I don’t think I can take anymore. I just cracked a smile when Claire told
Charlie that she’ll stay with him until the end. Great gal.
Can
we please talk about Jack because that last scene has me petrified? Did they break Jack? How could they break Jack? WHY??!!
He was playing football with Tom. That old tumbling idiot better not have done anything permanent because I swear the ugly
part of me is going to come out. Kate’s face was priceless. She just looked in horror at this thing that Jack has become. I thought he was running to them because he got away, but NO! He’s running to
catch a stupid football.
You
gotta love the Sayid, Locke, Kate and Rousseau team. These four are hysterical together. Sayid is definitely angry at Locke
for blowing up the flame. Then, Locke had the idea of throwing Bakunin into the fence. He couldn’t have made Bakunin
happier. I’m sorry, I’m against useless killing, but this guy had it coming. I’m
so sadistic sometimes it’s scary. So what was up with that fence? Basically, it was comprised of pylons that transmitted
some kind of waves that can cause hemorrhages. Did you see what happened to Bakunin? How is this thirty years-old? No way
they had that back then.
So the
list keeps popping up again and again. You want to hear something coincidental? I’m reviewing Lost’s second season and I just finished watching The Other 48 Days.
I forgot that the same type of list popped up in the episode. Only the “good” people were taken from the camp.
How does Bakunin know everything about everyone? If they do have links to the outside world, how do they get so much information?
I’m lost.
Last
but not least, they made it to the Others’ little village. I cannot wait to see what happens.

Tales from the Island
Claire: Charlie’s
going to die and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. Desmond keeps having visions. I promised him that I would
stick by him until the end. That’s what I have to do. We’ve come too far for me to abandon him. I learnt what
Desmond was trying to do when he scared the birds away. Supposedly, Charlie would have died trying to save me when I fell
off the cliff catching a bird. How long can Desmond keep saving Charlie? I hope he can do it for long.
