Juliet is the new Mama Derevko. We have our own little double
agent on the island and I’m loving every minute of it. I didn’t want Juliet to be some little fixture in the Losties’
camp; she’s got something to do now. We got a lot of nice well-rounded answers.
So these flashbacks began right after Juliet’s last
episode. Honestly, both her episodes rank up there as the top episodes of the season. They were great this year. I think it’s
the whole intrigue that surrounds Juliet that makes her episodes work. Is she good? Is she bad? We couldn’t figure it
out though. Now we know her true intentions though. The flashbacks did a great
job of humanizing her character. Let’s face it: she doesn’t want to be on the island.
I loved her first scene with Rachel. She couldn’t bear
leave her sister alone. And then, the absolute best scene of the night is when she watches healthy Rachel with her child from
the live feed. Juliet just tore up. She couldn’t bear the drama. The child looked beautiful and her sister was healthy.
She wasn’t there to see anything. I couldn’t believe Ben’s insincerity. He saw her crying. He saw her begging.
Is he that inhuman? Wait, he is. I wanted to watch that scene again and again.
So there never really was anything going on between Juliet
and Ben. She was doing Goodwin instead. The relationship between these two is beautiful.
From the moment he meets her, Ben creates a web of mystery around Juliet. Did she ever like him? I think she has resented
him all this time. But why did she decide on helping him betray Jack if she’s set on leaving the island? I knew something
was going to be up with her. What is he planning? Did he offer her another escape route?
Juliet was brought on the island to experiment on pregnant
women. Supposedly, pregnant women die on the island. Another scary mystery of the island.
She couldn’t figure it out. When Claire landed on the island, the Others found a whole new slew of possibilities. Juliet
believed that problems would only arise at conception. This would explain why Claire and Rousseau didn’t have a problem
with delivery. Slowly, things are coming together. She tried saving Claire; she did. They put a transmitter into her and they
were able to make her sick, right? What did they do to Claire? What did she inject her with? I still have questions.
I started panicking when Claire got sick. It turns out this
was a ploy Ben used to get the camp to respect Juliet. Is he that inhuman to risk a mother’s life? What else is he planning?
He says he is going to see Juliet in seven days. Where is he going with Locke? AAAHHH. I can’t wait seven days.
What’s exactly up with Jacob? At first I thought he
was just a cult leader, but now he can cure cancer too. That’s incredible. Why can’t it be used on Ben though?
Does this have anything to do with what Locke was talking about: appreciating the island? Interesting. I just can’t
believe something like that. How could Jacob have a cure of cancer? Here, I’m puzzled.
Who does Jack think he is? He comes back and he thinks the
position of leader is just his. Who is he to announce that he is protecting Juliet? I perfectly understand everyone’s
feelings. They wanted to tear her apart. It’s not the right thing to want to do, but it must be done. The Losties want closure and they deserve every inch of it. They have been ravaged by the Others and they deserve
to question Juliet. Of course, her scene with Sawyer and Sayid out in the forest was incredible. She told them the right thing;
both of them have no right questioning her on morals. They are the worst examples. They have no right to say what they did.
She shut them up well.
Spotlight on…Juliet
-
Juliet is in the car with Rachel. Ethan walks
up and takes her bags out of the car. Mittelos Bioscience then transports her by bus to their first facility. She doesn’t
want to leave Rachel. She promises to return in six months.
-
Ethan asks to take some of Juliet’s
vitals. Robert Alpert pours a tranquilizer in her orange juice. She at first refuses to drink it but is then promised so much
more than her present life. She drinks it in an instant.
-
Juliet is performing surgery on a pregnant
woman. They lose her on the table. She wants to leave the island. She says she can’t do anything else. Ben says her
sister will die if she leaves. He says they have a cure to cancer. Her cancer is back.
-
Juliet slept with Goodwin. She receives X-rays
of a spine. It belongs to Ben. He has a tumor. He seems worried. Juliet is surprised because she was told that they have a
cure for cancer. She asks to go home again; he won’t let her.
-
This takes place right after Ben assigns Ethan
to the fuselage and Goodwin to the Tailies. Ben takes Juliet to Mikhail. It’s September 22nd. News channels
are covering the disappearance of flight 815. Juliet then sees Rachel and her child. His name is Julian. Juliet states that
if she’s to stay on the island, she’ll need more mothers.
-
Juliet is talking to Ben. He wants her to
infiltrate the fusies’ camp. He says he’ll come back for her in seven days.
Tales from the Island
Juliet: They have no idea
I’m going to betray them. Ben came up with a plan for me to infiltrate them. I faked the whole thing. This was all planned.
I was supposed to wake up next to Kate. I was supposed to befriend her. Now that the sub was destroyed, I’m staying
on the island. Claire had a transmitter in her. Ben turned it on and she fell sick. I ran to the jungle and I injected her.
I helped her. She is the key for me to finishing my work on the island. I saved her life once. This time, it was all planned.
It looks like the others are starting to trust me. Or I think they will soon. They are so angry with Ethan. They are so angry
with what he did to them. He left Charlie to die on a tree. I understand.
