That
was fun, deceptive, and intriguing. We got so many storylines all merged into one episode. Of all of them, Duncan’s storyline seemed
to me to be the most important one. He takes anti-depressants. Who can blame him? He saw his daughter bathed in blood next
to the family pool while a hoard of cops inspected her dead body. We truly see Jake Kane putting a lot of pressure on his
son. Duncan wanted to be a lifeguard and his father laughed at the idea, claiming it to
be too easy. He wants his son to be a politician, or a successful businessman. Celeste tries protecting her son all the while
acting like an utter nag. You just want to smack her. I felt the same way. Don’t
be ashamed. Duncan went absolutely crazy without his pills. He fell off the bleachers and injured
his head, he called Veronica his girlfriend, and he hallucinated, thinking he was making love to Veronica. Does he still have
feelings for her? Does she still have feelings for him? She also dreamt of a hot night with her Duncan. This is steaming up.
I have
to admit. I was not crazy about the John Smith storyline. I thought it lacked a bit of that “oomph” the last two
episodes had. I also had no sympathy for Justin because his intentions were to seduce Veronica. Give me a break! That two-inch
twit never had a chance. I did feel for him when he found out his father was alive and a transsexual. It was such a blow to
him. He had imagined his father as a man who loved cars and had beautiful eyes. He got something unexpected. I loved that
his father came to visit him every week at the movie store. He drove 90 miles to see his son. Loved that.
Do I
like Troy? As a guy, I don’t really get him. He acts like a snob and mostly cocky.
I know he does it to crack some laughs, but it gets to me sometimes. He strolls around too confident for my liking, always
trying to seduce her. Maybe I want Veronica for myself? Speaking of seduction, Keith is getting closer to Veronica’s
counselor. Is something going to happen between Keith and this energetic woman? They were really looking cozy in that coffee
shop. Keith may be getting some action soon.

This episode was good in
some places, but less good in others. 3 out of 5 stars.
