The Wrath of Con
Episode 1.4

If there’s one thing I hate about college is those stupid and immature kids who are obsessive over video games. Grow up! I was watching this episode and couldn’t help but feel frustrated with the two cons. Apart from that, the episode was amazing. The Lilly Kane storyline rocked, it seems like I’m starting to like Troy and finally, Wallace got some undercover work. The show is great at having a billion storylines, and all tying up in the end. We had some great and significant moments that are worth a second look.

Veronica got “Aliased.” Love that word. We saw her in three different aliases: once as the dumb blonde, once at the college party, and once at the cyber-videogame-hangout. Kristen Bell can deliver. I absolutely love her. We really saw the impact Lilly’s death had on her. She still thinks of her. She even went skinny-dipping on prom night. I tend to watch the flashbacks and wonder how Veronica and Lilly were best friends. One is innocent and quiet; the other is wild and loud. But both actresses have great chemistry.

Percy Daggs III was finally given some great work. Wallace has been hit by Cupid’s arrow. He even went undercover as a nerd. He was clueless, but he improvised well, like a true Veronica apprentice. She is going to turn him into a great sidekick. She’s already had such an influence on Wallace and I hope she doesn’t disappoint him.

Logan actually has some sort of a heart. He was the perfect person to make the Lilly memorial video. Everyone still remembers her. I was glad that the video was not a compilation of the innocent Lilly, yet it was a compilation of the real Lilly. She was loud and crazy. She made everyone around her laugh. When the kids were playing “Truth or Dare,” Lilly went to kiss Veronica rather than Logan. I loved that. I also loved her rendition of her mother having sex. It was hysterical and I couldn’t stop laughing. Duncan was so disturbed. I had tears down my face.

The Lilly Kane Files

-          We saw a Lilly Kane memorial video. She was fun and crazy. Why was Weevil crying?

Quotable Quotes

-          Keith: “If he’s gonna be kissing my daughter for 8 minutes on my front porch, I’m gonna have to meet him.” He is so overprotective.

-          “I’m on your team, lamer.” You’re lame, you lamer!

-          Lilly: “Dare.”

Duncan: “Shocker.”

-          Wallace: “My first college party; drinking piņa-cooladas, talking about math.” Veronica has him doing the craziest things.

-          Veronica: “There’s a world’s greatest dad trophy in your future.” She really does love her dad.

-          Veronica: “So who’s ready for mini-golf?”

Some Final Notes

-          I find that the actresses who play Celeste and Lilly look very similar. Celeste looked indifferent during the video. She is somehow involved and I’m convinced that she’s a snake.

-          Jake Kane started crying during the memorial.

-          I loved Kyla Pratt as Wallace’s new love interest.

-          Troy did a big boo-boo. He booked a hotel room. The world is over. Keith wants his head.

I loved the episode. It had an Alias-themed story this week and I loved it. 5 out of 5 stars.
