I can’t believe I saw Lucy Lawless on tv again. I jumped
when I saw the now-blonde New Zealand actress on Veronica Mars. She was great in her role as Agent
Morris and the episode just rocked my world. Duncan is thankfully out of the picture (they did give him a nice ending). Also, the
daddy/daughter relationship might have hit a bump on the road. Keep reading.
The show rightfully revolves around Veronica and Keith. That’s
the way it is and the way it should be. Until this point, their relationship has been smooth. Daughter stays with dad. Daughter
loves dad. Dad does best to provide for daughter. Daughter has dad as hero. It’s all great. It’s at this point
where Veronica falters. She didn’t tell her father what she was doing. Veronica, he loves you. He would have helped
you. Am I wrong? I really felt Keith’s attachment to his daughter. We know
now what Veronica really means to him. When she walked into her room, Veronica herself saw the consequences of her mistakes.
She is the only person her father has. It’s sad but true. In his powerful
speech, he says she wouldn’t only ruin herself if she went to jail, she would ruin him. Believe it or not, Veronica
is Keith’s last mission. He failed as a husband. He failed as a sheriff. He didn’t fail as a father. Lately though,
he feels farther and farther away from Veronica. I’m glad he thought of covering the little cabinet/trapdoor. If there’s
one thing he’s always got it’s Veronica’s back.
This is something Veronica has to realize. Seriously. What
she does doesn’t only affect her, it affects her father. As she is growing older, Keith is giving her more responsibility.
She is definitely a gifted person, but I still don’t know if little Lilly will be safe with Duncan. I hope she is. It’s understandable that Veronica was acting out
of love for Duncan and for the baby. In some ways, it feels as if the baby belonged to Veronica.
This is Veronica’s way to redemption. She can give this new baby life—that’s what she did.
There isn’t a doubt in my mind that Duncan loved Veronica. He loved her. He loved Meg, but he loved Veronica. I never
make sense, do I? Their last scene together was exceptionally written. Veronica tried acting occupied so she could forget
what was happening. We all want her with Logan, but there’s no denying the truth. She really loved Duncan as well. I hope Veronica can rebound from this. The fortune cookie message will stay in her mind forever: “True
love stories never have endings.” Have we really seen the last of Duncan? How
is he going to provide for his daughter? On a side note, how happy were you when Veronica squared off with Celeste in Lamb’s
office. Veronica made my day.
Weevil and Logan are getting
closer to the truth. Weevil figured out that one of his boys, Hector, was selling drugs. He assumed it came from the Fitzpatricks.
He figures out that Hector is telling the truth only to realize that Felix was involved with Molly Fitzpatrick. This thing
never ends. Anyways, I’m enjoying the Logan/Weevil investigation. Hanging out
with Veronica has really helped them.

Quotable Quotes
-
Logan: “Hi, ho.”
Veronica: “What did you say?”
Logan: “Your uniform. Heigh ho. It's off to work you go.”
Veronica: “I
guess that makes me Snow White.”
Logan: “You
must be on your way up to see Mopey.”
Veronica: “How's he doing, Sleazy?”
Logan: “Wouldn't know. He doesn't come out of his room. Old Italian ladies don't grieve
like this. Boy, he must have really loved Meg.” Great.
-
Logan: “There she goes, the angel of mercy. Time to fake the
doughnut. Uh, oh. Did you catch him waxing his board?”
-
Wallace: “I came to see Veronica Mars.
Who’s this emo-girl?”
-
Veronica: “Celeste isn’t quite
ready to be a grandmother.”
-
Celeste: “I find comfort knowing the
child isn’t yours.”
Veronica: “Let’s
hope she got your smile.” Loved this one.
-
Dick: “Well, the one they
call Bootsy told me no, and went on to suggest I perform sexual intercourse upon my own person.”
Logan: “Doesn't he understand that if you could do that you'd never come to school?”
-
Lamb: “Why don’t
you wait outside?”
Veronica:
“Why don’t you?”
-
Vinnie: “I was swept away
by your beauty. I almost forgot my assignment.”
-
Keith: “I don’t
know how I’ll ever trust you again.” Oooh!
Some Final Notes
-
I knew Wallace did something to come back.
I don’t like that though. Did he like Chicago that much? He acted as if Veronica meant nothing to him. Now he’s involved
with this whole thing with Rashard. That’s not going to be good.
-
Did I mention how much I love Lucy Lawless?
-
Did everyone else notice the lottery numbers
from Lost on the fortune cookie message? 4 8 15 16 23 42
-
The opening scene in the elevator was great.
This is the only advantageous aspect of Logan and Veronica’s break-up: their fighting.
-
I like how Veronica sold Celeste’s earrings
for $80 000. Imagine how much they were really worth.
-
The line-up of blondes in the cell was hysterical.
I just stood in awe as each one looked more ridiculous that the next.
-
Thumper said that the only PCHers on the bridge
when Felix died Hector, Bootsy and himself. I don’t trust him.
-
The baby’s name was Faith Manning. Duncan changed it to Lilly. That was nice.
-
The bathroom trapdoor through the wall was
smart. Veronica thinks of everything.
-
Who else was surprised when you saw Vinnie
Van Lowe in the truck? He was part of Veronica’s plan? She used everybody she had.
-
It’s going to kill Lamb if he ever finds
out he passed by the truck where Duncan was hiding.
Stunning. 5 stars.
