Finally we get something about the bus crash. With everything
going on with Meg, we’ve forgotten about the bus. But with Meg out of the way, we needed some substantial info. We got
it. Plus, Wallace is in a bit of a mess. He got out of it nicely. And can it be? I’m starting to like Jackie.
Although the episode wasn’t the best of the season,
I still like the direction the show is going. For starters, the most important change this season has been every character’s
involvement in a major story. Wallace clearly learnt the news of his life and is no longer the clueless sidekick. He’s
an A-class man who has gone through a lot of recent trouble. Now he knows what Veronica
goes through. I’m happy with Wallace. He didn’t get overly worked up about the whole thing. He remembers the
drive-thru guy at White
Castle. Good Job Wallace. Still, the story resolved itself too nicely for me. I like when my favourite
characters come out on top, but this was too easy for me. I’m glad Uncle Monty got trashed talked by Wallace. That guy
was really hardcore. That doesn’t excuse Rashard’s stupidity. He knew what really happened and he still let Wallace
be blamed for everything. And Wallace called him a friend.
If there’s one thing I’m liking is Keith’s
sudden obsession with the bus crash. I am liking this. The mystery is going to take the front seat of the show. I’m
excited. So, as I assumed, the rat was not a message to Veronica. It did what it was supposed to do; it stinks. Who would have thought? Is Keith’s obsession to the case related to Veronica’s possible connection
to the crash? He is probably without a doubt worried for her. This was to get the rich kids out of the bus. Smart. What was
up with Mayor Goodman telling his daughter to not get on the bus? Am I thinking what
I think I’m thinking?
But the best part of the episode was definitely the Weevil
story. The leader is out of the PCHers. Weevil getting beat up upset my stomach. It’s something you never see. I think
it was necessary. Weevil isn’t one of them anymore. Weevil based his leadership on honour and the ideas of brotherhood.
The new PCHers are just interested in the money in their pockets. It’s sad, but so true. What was great with Weevil
as leader was his standards. He never went too far. This new guy Thumper seems to be all business. He is much scarier than
Weevil. At least now we know for a fact that Thumper killed Felix. How could he do that?
The Bus Crash Files
-
Moran worked on Gia’s car and Mr. Casablancas’
car as well.
-
Terrence Cook had a relationship with the
dead teacher, Ms. Dumas. Terrence Cook was arrested.
-
Woody Goodman told his daughter to not go
on the bus with the rest of the kids. How did he know?
Quotable Quotes
-
Veronica: “My boyfriend just fled the
country with his dead ex-girlfriend’s baby. I need a project.” I think you do.
-
Logan: “Drugs. Murder. Frame-ups. St-Mary’s Church. Why didn’t
we think of this before?”
-
Veronica: “Do
either of you have any experience being a horse's ass?”
-
Wallace: “What if I'm
not there?”
Cliff: “Then they'll issue a warrant. You'll be arrested, probably found guilty, and end up married
to some enormous murderer named Tiny.” Nicely said Cliff.
-
Veronica: “They reconciled?
How?”
Keith: “Mystery of love would be my guess.”
Veronica: “A million dollar ‘sorry I
banged the maid’ ring would be mine.”
-
Weevil: “I need you to
bug the confessional at St. Mary's Church."
Veronica: "Um, I'm sorry, that's not on our menu. Maybe you should try 'You're
Crazy' down the street?”
-
Logan: “Look, Veronica. Can you just once save my ass without
comment?"
Veronica: "No. Because saving your ass with comment, it just works better for me.”
-
Lamb: “What do you mean by, ‘it smelled’?”
Dick: “Dude, it smelled like the ass of something that died.”
Lamb: “And you can't say what it was?”
Dick: “I'm
not like a professional smellologist.”
Some Final Notes
-
Poor Inga was used again by the Mars. She
is very vulnerable.
-
The PCHer demotion ceremony is scary. It’s
like that in all gangs. That would scare me away from joining one.
-
I can’t believe Veronica bugged a confessional.
This begs the question: does Veronica believe in God? To me, it doesn’t seem like it. She really thought she was going
to hell though.
-
I love Jackie now. I love her. She helped
Wallace set things right with Rashard. She then asked him out, but he already had plans with another cute girl. Poor Jackie.
How much do you wanna bet Jackie is going to ask Veronica for help to clear Terrence?
-
I still can’t believe that a Fitzpatrick
family member is a priest. That’s going a bit too far. St-Mary’s church should be really interesting when the
two gangs meet up.
-
Logan is always playing that golf game.
-
Molly said the Fitzpatricks never knew about
Felix.
-
Logan is accusing Veronica for driving Duncan away.
Will he ever find out what really happened?
-
Did Meg have a memorial service?
Not bad. Three stars
