Very interesting. And very good. I’ve heard rumours
that the Hearst rapes are going to be next season’s big mystery so I’m guessing this was an introduction for what’s
to come. Truthfully, I loved it. This reminded me of the old Veronica Mars. Also,
Hannah is officially gone. Logan is free, but heartbroken.
It’s not that I didn’t like Hannah; she wasn’t
good for Logan. I didn’t want her to be. She was too much of a nice girl to get involved
with him. Someone like Veronica can handle Logan. She has a strong character. Hannah doesn’t. She is naïve and innocent
prey for a predator like Logan. He might have started showing major signs of affection for her, but in the
end, he would have let her go. Hannah is lucky she got out of that relationship. How
did Logan last that long without having sex
with her…or anyone at that? But I truly think for the
first time he fell in love with someone. Opposites attract and Hannah definitely fell for his charm. I feel bad though that
she’s been deported to Vermont in a boarding school.
I was a bit unsettled about the rapist not being found. Veronica
didn’t seem bothered. I was. Being raped must be the worst feeling ever. Stacy was a bit angry. I guess whenever someone
is hurt the way she was, rational thought isn’t an option. Stacy wanted Troy convicted
and arrested. Thanks to the Hawaiian girl, Troy was spared. So there have been two rapes on campus so far, right? Are there
more girls who have been raped?
Has Troy really changed?
I’d like to know. Is it me or did Veronica start having feelings for him again? Troy is a good
boy now. I’m wondering what kind of schooling he had to go through to get that badass behaviour out of him. But I didn’t
think for a minute that Troy was guilty. Troy sure was a screwed person
once upon a time, but he was never as bad as a rapist. Not even close. Veronica
sure agreed. She sure was hurt when Troy manipulated her, but she knows he isn’t like that. He has this whole
new “chivalry” thing going for him. Stay at it.
Wallace is really psyched to go to Hearst. He won the scholarship
so I’m guessing now that Veronica has to go to the school. She wouldn’t leave Wallace, would she? I found her
conversation with her dad a bit rough. He obviously wants her to stay at home, but she told him flat out she wanted to leave
as far away as possible. This is the problem Veronica has. She doesn’t take into account other people’s feelings.
Keith needs her. She doesn’t realize that. Veronica wouldn’t be Veronica Mars in another city. She would only
be Veronica Mars in Neptune. That’s where she has to stay. This is where she belongs. Like it or not.
The Bus Crash Files
-
Danny Boyd was found working with explosives.
The same type that was used in the bus crash. Were the Fitzpatricks involved?
Quotable Quotes
-
Veronica: “I’ll go just to skip
school, which excites me.”
-
Logan: “What happened to Madison?”
Dick: “Bailed. According to her friend, she met someone more mature.”
Logan: “Where? At Legoland?”
-
Dick: “Maturity is one of the two most
rated things.”
Logan: “The other being?”
Dick: “Chicks.”
-
Troy: “Maybe I wanted to demonstrate that I really have changed.”
Veronica: “So
you’re no longer evil, you’re stupid.”
-
Keith: “When my daughter dated a billionaire’s
kid living alone in the penthouse suite, I got pretty tight with the security guards.”
-
Keith: “My god, Cliff,
you're like a wild animal. Is that what the kids call ‘motorboatin’?”
Cliff: “I have a zest for
life. So sue me.”
-
Veronica: “How ‘bout you just
call me an acquaintance with reservations.” How about that?
-
Veronica: “Dad, your hooker’s
here.” Loved this one.
Some Final Notes
-
The Cliff storyline was hysterical. When Keith
opened the hotel door to find him tied to the bed, I literally died laughing. Who wanted his briefcase though? What was in
it that was so great?
-
I liked how the tour guide Dean described
college parties: drunk and having an intellectual conversation.
-
Veronica had a problem with that guy who kept
trying to score points with her. His name was Bird Dog. I loved how she took out her taser and zapped him. Such a Veronica
Mars thing to do.
-
The board downstairs at the Pi Sigs was nasty.
That’s just plain stupid. Veronica of course put them on probation. This girl rocks.
-
Veronica can really act. She really moved
me. She blew it though when she said her sister was the runaway girl. It was a Hawaiian girl. I still don’t know her
name.
-
There’s an essay contest about Freedom.
The winner will have a one-week apprenticeship with Woody Goodman.
-
Veronica saw Danny Boyd working at the construction
site. Is he one of the Fitzpatrick’s boys? What does he do for them?
I loved it. 5 stars
