Plan B
Episode 2.17

Weevil definitely went to Plan B: take out Thumper. It was time for it. I didn’t think he should have killed him, but something had to be done. Who’s going to take over the PCHers now. I don’t know, but I am excited for this story to further develop. It was also the Sadie Hawkins dance this week. A lot of romance and a lot of deception.

Weevil was the big story of the episode and I’m glad for it. This season has been focused on Weevil and it’s a very nice change. The show is shifting away from Veronica and Keith and focusing on the secondary characters. That’s a good thing and a bad thing. I know. I don’t make sense. I want to learn more about our characters, but I still miss the focus on Veronica. Like I said, I don’t make sense. Anyways, back to Weevil. He is a tormented man. I truly believe he’s a good guy, but he needs to control the anger. Killing Thumper was a waste. He should have made him pay…the other way. I have to give Weevil his props for coming up with the plan to frame Thumper. The Fitzpatricks fell right into his hands and did everything he wanted them to do. The last shot with him confessing was an excellent scene. I like the use of religious references. Pop culture doesn’t use it enough. That’s just my opinion.

The Sadie Hawkins dance is something that brings people together. It empowers women to reverse the rules and take control of the dating world. In other words, us guys enjoy watching you girls muster up the courage to ask us to the dance. It’s not that easy, eh. All dating advice aside, this dance was very important. For one, Logan and Veronica shared a very passionate dance. Is it me, or was Veronica really into it? I think she was. She loves him. Just live happy with him. Just give me what I want.

I really like the Jackie things going on. She started out as a Madonna-type bitch. She has a Courtney-Love meltdown. Now she becomes sweet and loving. Have you thought of a sweet and loving celebrity yet? That was mean. I really like her. She asked out the polite and challenged kid Charlie to the dance. She handled herself beautifully and seemed to have a good time. That was really nice of her. Now she has Wallace on her heels again. I can understand her frustration. She doesn’t want to be known as a man-eater. She wants to be Jackie. That’s all.

I don’t believe that Woody’s janitor sent him that tape. I really don’t. That guy is hiding something. It’s not because his daughter Gia is a complete psycho, but because he had a few awkward moments this week that made me look at him an unexpected way. Why was he so in need of the cd? Keith caught onto something there. Woody isn’t a very good liar. Did you all see the shock on his face when he learnt that Logan was the winner of the Freedom essay? I couldn’t believe it either.

The Bus Crash Files

-          One possible theory is that Moran blew up the bus to kill Cervando. He was tasked to do it by the Fitzpatricks.

Quotable Quotes

-          Wallace: “How’s your dad today?”

Jackie: “Fantastic. So good in fact they took him off suicide watch.” Poor Jackie.

-          Veronica: “I need you to do something for me.”
Logan: “Veronica, ask not what Logan can do for you, but what you can do for Logan.”

-          Veronica: “You know I’m not sure, but when they start shipping your girlfriends off, you’re officially a bad boy.”

-          Lamb (looking at Weevil): “Still picking winners Veronica?”

Veronica: “I told you. When I start losers, it’s all you.”

-          Weevil: “An 09er could come in here with tea leaves and a Ouija board, and they'd send out a SWAT team.”

-          Gia: “Hi, welcome to the Sadie Hawkins Spring Fling. Enjoy!”
Logan: “Don't worry, gang, if she's a two at ten, she'll be a ten at two.”

-          Gia: “You, you run from the truth.”
Logan: “Only when it's chasing me.”
Gia: “You know what I think? I think you use sarcasm and anger as a way to keep people from getting too close to you.”
Logan: “You know, I do. But it doesn't always work.”

Some Final Notes

-          When Logan took the oath of office, he did as if his hand got burned by the Bible. At least he knows he’s evil.

-          When Weevil asked Veronica for help, Veronica said she wanted fifty bucks. Weevil replies by saying he won’t give it to her because her curiosity would get the best of her. He was right.

-          The Felix flashback was a good one. He was talking about driving a truck and settling down with someone. He never told Weevil who his special girl was.

-          The bus given to Molly Fitzpatrick was bugged. There’s a bug in everything these days.

-          What’s going on with Mac? She really wants some sex. Cassidy isn’t ready. He really felt offended when she confronted him about it. Mac, breathe.

-          Gia psychoanalyzing Logan at the check-in table was great.

-          Wallace kissed Jackie. What’s up with her not going back to him?

-          Does Veronica take pictures of every event? That camera is always in her hands.

-          I liked Logan’s comment about wanting to fire the sheriff. Logan knows what he’s talking about.

-          Woody is talking about incorporating Neptune again. Good luck with that.

I liked it. 4 stars
