Does there always have to be a morning after pill? On Veronica Mars, there has to be. And frankly, this episode just sizzled. Back to the
old show I loved. It seems a continuing problem with this season is Veronica’s lack of hatred for people. I needed that
back and I got it. Nice epi.
I’m getting sick and tired of this on-and-off thing
with Logan. But I
can’t stand this relationship anymore. It’s time Veronica moves on and it’s time she hooks up with Piz.
What is wrong with Piz? Personally, what Logan did was an all-time low. I know they broke up, but to sleep with Madison. Ya, the girl’s hot, but Veronica hated her. That’s really
an all-time low. But Veronica will bounce back. She couldn’t get those dreams out of her head. Watching Madison go up and down…snap! What the hell is wrong with me? Sorry.
I did love the Bonnie storyline and it beautifully tied in
with what Veronica was feeling in the episode. Bonnie didn’t seem half as bad; she didn’t even seem like a tramp.
There are two sides to every person and someone like Bonnie just chose the wrong path to live by. I really thought this baby
would have changed her. I really did. Sometimes, a baby can do that. What I loved even more was the fact that Bonnie really
wanted the child. She got excited over having a baby. Why shouldn’t she?
Who dared give Phyllis the right to kill the child? What a bitch!
I loved the fact that Bonnie’s father was a preacher.
Religion is underused in mainstream television and the show embraced it well this week. It affected Veronica. Having planned
out this whole idea to smash Madison’s brand new (and gorgeous) car, she opts against it. I couldn’t believe it. And it was so cool when Weevil mentions, “you’re going soft Mars.”
He is not wrong. Veronica has come a long way from high school; she isn’t as angry as she once was. She is now surrounded
in an environment where everyone is mature. It might not be as dramatic television, but it’s a great thing to see.
We’ve always assumed Veronica was full-fledged mature;
she isn’t. She still has a lot to learn. For instance: screw Logan. I’ve
been a huge LoVe fan, but this is ridiculous. Making herself sick over him isn’t going to fix anything; it’s making
things worse for all I care. It isn’t right. Why isn’t Keith saying anything to prevent her from getting even
more hurt? I guess that’s what being an adult entails: dealing with your mistakes.
Mindy O’Dell is certainly not able to cope with her
own mistakes as she has been keeping money away from her ex-husband. He broke into her house and wanted to steal back what
was taken from him. I just got it! He killed the Dean. It doesn’t make any sense, but he’s the one we would least
suspect; that’s the way he’s the one I will most suspect. The O’Dell mystery is taking an interesting form.
Mindy claims she had the Volvo with her all night at the Grand. Is Nish lying? Wouldn’t surprise me.
The O’Dell Murder Files
-
There was a supposed eye witness at the scene
(or ear witness). However, Anthony Martin was drunk and says he heard a gun shot. Time is approximate to 2:00 AM.
-
Tim Foyle had been doing research on his own
time. He is investigating the case.
-
Mindy claims the Volvo was at the Grand the
whole night; Nish said she saw it in the parking lot of the school. Who’s lying?
Quotable Quotes
-
Logan: “Jeans—bold move. I hope the Maître D’ is fashion-forward.”
I hope he is.
-
Veronica (to
Dick): “You do your hair like that to cover the 6s on your head right?” I loved this one.
-
Veronica (about Logan and Madison): “This
is something I am never getting passed.” Snap!
-
After seeing Bonnie’s room, Veronica:
“Raiders of the last dorm room.”
-
Veronica (voice-over):
“The only thing worse than being up all night obsessing over Madison is knowing how much she’d enjoy it.”
-
Veronica: “Oh Anthony just the guy I
wanted to hear from. I am absolutely a good time.” Loved this one.
-
Veronica: “Wow. Impressive. I hear Modern
Breasts is a hard class.” Classic.
-
Veronica: “Have you seen my copy of
“either/or?”
Keith: “No,
but I’ve got an old copy of ‘Buts’ you can have.” I don’t get it.
Some Final Notes
-
Veronica’s dream was weird, her seeing
Aspen and all.
-
Bonnie was given something called RU-486.
I hate Phyllis. Who does something like that?
-
Bonnie stayed with Tim because he takes care
of her. How sweet.
-
I felt bad for Dick. He didn’t know
about Logan and Madison. “That was not cool,” he says. He was hysterical this week.
-
Papa Capistrano is a preacher. I would have
never seen something like that coming. Veronica must have really felt bad going undercover and lying to a preacher.
-
Veronica was so smart when she made the janitor
let her in Tim Foyle’s office. I wish I was half as smart as her.
-
Madison’s driver’s license was “GOTZMINE.” Give me a break.
-
I loved how Weevil got so excited over ‘cubing’
Madison’s car. Why not?
-
Where was the whole gang this week? I needed
more Mac to tell you the truth. I need my weekly dosage of the Mac Attack. I’m sorry.
Very good. 4 stars
