Debasement Tapes
Episode 3.17

Okay, I really did not like this one. Talk about being bored for the whole hour this thing was on. Seriously, if Rob Thomas wants this show renewed, he’s going to have to beef up the show. These last two episodes have not been working for me…at all. This is what I want: LoVe and Pizonica. I want both and I want them now.

What’s wrong with a little hook-up? Veronica likes Piz and Veronica still lives Logan. She’s not doing anything about either one. This is how this has to work: Veronica has to do something to keep me invested in her relationships. I loved how Piz knew right away that the kiss at Parker’s party meant nothing. He’s catching on. He finally did the right think though and grabbed her hand during the concert. The only problem: that whole scene felt forced and uncomfortable.

On paper, this relationship should have taken off the ground. Piz is great for Veronica and she’s good for anyone. So what’s the problem? She’s still thinking of Logan. I don’t like people who dwell on their past relationships. If you’re thinking about the other person, you should be with them. It’s a no brainer for me. Have you ever been in that position?

And Logan is just really interesting. What’s up with him actually? Why is he obsessed with Piz? I liked how Mac set him straight by saying Veronica would never have cheated on him. I mean come on. Veronica? And what was up with his project? I still don’t understand what it was about. I guess that’s what Max meant when he said he makes money from stupid people. Am I one of them? I think I am.

Mac, meanwhile, finally learnt what it’s like to heartbreak someone. Yeah, I like Max much better than Bronson. The latter is way too boring. Like really boring. At least Max was clicking with her on so many levels. I love their competition about who’s brain or computer skills would crash who’s. I kind of drifted off after that. Too complicated for me. Logan called it “nerd on nerd.” Classic.

The Desmond Fellows storyline was just plain boring. Like seriously, what was the point of wasting my hour like this? I didn’t care about a burnt-out rock-star who sang his new material. Like come on. And then, the resolution of the story was really quite underwhelming. It turns out some man switched the bags. Veronica went through all those useless characters like that teacher, Professor Schaffer. I didn’t really care that her feelings were hurt.

Then, Leo had to come back because he is the most boring character ever. Okay, he’s not that bad but it’s just I find we dealt with his story. Now, it’s time to leave. At least Keith is going to be getting some help. I knew he was going to recruit Leo the second he was sitting at his desk. We also got to see Danny Boyd, stopped by Vinnie Van Lowe.

And if Rob wanted to really piss me off, he would have made Vinnie Van Lowe ran for Sheriff. That is so wrong on so many levels. I loved Vinnie running his little PI business cracking quirky jokes is what made me love the character. Now, that might be ruined too.

Quotable Quotes

-          Ratner: “Waiting for a tip. It’s customary…in America.”

-          Professor Schaffer: “Advice. Never meet your idol.”

-          Veronica: “The Bronson Parmesan is good for me. Ooo but the Maxuccine looks awfully tempting.” She’s too much.

-          Logan (to Dick): “Run over your own foot?”

-          Mac: “Grade my ass.”

Logan: “Dot net, yes.”

-          Desmond: “You’re a Jewish group and your initials at S.S.”

-          Dick: “I’m an ass expert.” I like Logan saying to take off the “expert.”

-          Logan: “Should I get a camera. There must be someone out there who that’ll pay for nerd-on-nerd action.”

Some Final Notes

-          Keith was going to run again until he had to say Vinnie was an “asset to the community.” That’s just great.

-          Logan’s teacher was a spaz. He worked so hard on it.

-          I laughed at Blackcat 70.

-          Mac works with Red Bull and licorice.

-          Desmond’s new songs were pretty good.

-          I loved watching Desmond play with Keith saying he hated “The Beatles.” Hysterical.

-          I died laughing when Desmond commented of the Jewish group saying their initials were S.S. Poor Piz had to go through that.

-          Keith already seems to have started Vinnie’s campaign for him. This is going to be just great.

-          Why is Wallace not in the episodes anymore? Honestly, I don’t know why he’s still a main star. He’s never on the show.

Just boring, hence the short review. 2 stars
