You all remember my ranting from last week. I was angry about
last week’s episode. This week felt like a completely different series. Finally, we have some substantial information
about the mystery. You all know how happy that makes me. In the spirit of my happiness, let’s talk Veronica Mars.
Logan hasn’t been at the top of his game this season. He seems depressed and uncharacteristically
dry. Without Aaron, I feel disinterested with Logan’s story. Now that we know that he has a half-brother, this makes things
much more interesting. We often wondered how many women Aaron slept with. Now we know one of the products of these affairs.
I’m glad Logan handled things in such a mature fashion. When he first met his “half-brother,”
he was excited on getting to know him. I don’t blame him for punching out the Vanity
Fair reporter. He was despicable. I wanted to punch him out as well. You realize
how self-centered Hollywood reporters really are. They are more interested in their stories rather than
the pain they can cause. Enough about them.
Keith was excellent this week. He was absolutely hysterical.
The dinner scenes were great. Why was Veronica so scared with having her father have supper with Logan? He’s not uncivilized. Logan is a good guy, only he’s just screwed-up. Aren’t we all? I loved watching Veronica interrupt. She made the conversations sound like a boxing match.
Relax Veronica. Everything will be fine. It was fun to watch Logan admire the Keith/Veronica relationship. He’s never had such a relationship with his father. Sometimes, the
smallest thing came make the biggest deal.
The story with the Pi Sigs this week was great. This is how
the show should work. If the mystery is only going to pan out over nine episodes, make every week a big part of the mystery.
This week was huge. Veronica ruled out any of the Pi Sigs involvement in Carrie’s rape. It was great to see Dick come
to Veronica’s door. I thought that they were on much friendlier terms. I guess not. Veronica jumped at the idea of snooping
around in the Pi Sigs. It was a great opportunity. Now she can at least start ruling some people out.
What’s up with Parker? I felt bad for her, but today
I felt like slapping her. I knew Nish would get to her. She seems harmful and nice, but Nish can stir up as much
trouble as she wants. I’m glad Veronica has her on her radar. Veronica has to
beat her down. Parker has surprised me. She is easily influenced by her friends. Besides, where is Mac? Tina Marjoniro
joined the cast and I haven’t seen her since the second episode. I love Mac.

Quotable Quotes
-
Veronica (referring to Dick): “If you’re
not going to shoo it with a newspaper, I’m stepping on it.”
-
Logan: “You were expecting Sydney Poitier?”
Veronica: “No jokes, no innuendoes,
no quips. Don't even think of alluding to having
seen me naked, or having touched any part of my body that does not have fingers.”
Logan: “Can I mention that my eyes adored you?”
-
Chu: “Chip whips out the door all pissed off and wet.”
Veronica: “‘Cause
that’s where his Stairmaster is.”
-
Dick: “You’re torturing me.”
Veronica: “Without
even trying. God, I’m good.”
-
Veronica: “I have options. I could be
excited—thrilled even that Logan’s brother is a keeper or I can be me.
-
Veronica: “When did the Greek chorus
of Feminist shave arrive?”
- Veronica:
“Here's a fun thing to say to your beau: 'Mind if I go put the screws to someone?”
Logan: “Go ahead, screw your brains out.”
- Veronica (voiceover):
“Who knew that when opportunity knocked it would look like a horny surfer.” (edit)
-
Dick: “It's a frat. Why rape the cow when you're swimming in free milk?”
Some Final Notes
-
Wallace was in the episode for two seconds.
-
Logan must really be spending his cash for his trust fund to be running out. I wish
I had all the money he had.
-
There was much more interaction between Keith
and Veronica this week. That’s what I want to see.
-
Was that Julie Gonzalo’s real hair.
It would save money on wigs.
-
I initially had these two girls confused:
the one from the premiere who was leading the protest, Nancy and Nish.
I have that sorted out.
-
Was Nish raped or is she leading
the troops?
-
Thanks to Billie Doux, I’m now able
to keep track of how many women have gotten raped: Number one and two: Dawn and Stacey. Number three: Nancy Cooper. Number
Four: Parker Lee. Number Five: Claire. Got it. Thanks Billie.
Much better. 4 stars
