I am really pissed off. The previews for this week’s
episode showed the three best minutes of the episode. The other hour didn’t measure up at all. There was no major revelation
this week. Nothing big really happened. Veronica has a freakin’ case to solve and she’s worrying about finding
some useless and annoying girl’s boyfriend. Furthermore, she declined the offer for an internship program at the FBI.
That’s a dream job for her. What’s up?
Like I said before, and I’ll say it again, if there’s
only going to be nine episodes dedicated to this mystery, then why are we watching some useless episodes about a missing college
student who was out partying and surfing. I want some answers about the rapes. I knew Mercer wasn’t going to be kept
in jail for long. Veronica and Logan quickly cleared him. When I saw Veronica falling to the ground after being drugged, the
outline of the rapist’s body looked like a woman. I’m telling you.
The rapist has to be a woman. That would be a very clever twist. There might even be more than one rapist. I’m just
throwing theories out. At least we can start ruling out names: it’s not Mercer, not Piz
(he was in his room), not Logan, and not Veronica (I just had to put that in
here).
The Sully storyline was stupid and annoying. For starters,
Meryl was the most annoying character ever. I’ve never felt such a hatred for a character before. She was so dumb and
just plain aggravating. I felt like turning off the tv when she was on. I was about
to, trust me. I was happy that this plotline at least touched upon some things we’ve already seen. Sully went to
the Fitzpatrick’s bar. After they were done using him, the Fitzpatrick’s kicked him out. I was freaking out when
Liam grabbed Veronica. Where was her taser?
LoVe is on their way out. That also pisses me off. What is wrong with Veronica? She really has some issues. Why is it so hard to trust the
people you supposedly love? Logan was so worried about what Veronica would think of him. He told her what really happened that night. I can understand
his worry. He ran in the face of danger. Veronica had no right criticizing him. Seriously.
Would you run in a room filled with fire? I’m glad he told her though. That’s something important. I’m
thinking that Veronica wants this relationship over. She isn’t giving it the effort it deserves. Relationships are hard.
Get over it. Most importantly, you have to work on it. Veronica doesn’t seem
to want to. Logan did prove he loved her; she hasn’t.
Exceptional acting on Enrico’s part this week. He broke
up with Harmony for Veronica. I was kind of surprised with Keith. Like Veronica said, why is his story so much more different
than all their other cases? He might have fallen for Harmony, but it was not morally correct. I think Keith still thinks of
Veronica as a teenage daughter, rather than an adult. He cannot accept the fact that Veronica may be in the position to give
him advice. She’s still his baby. Until Harmony officially divorces her husband
though, she should have nothing to do with Keith. Harmony’s story isn’t over. I can feel it. When she finds out
that Vinnie knows her real name, she looked much more afraid than she should be. I think there’s something big involving
her. Then again, what do I know?
The Rape Hearst Files
-
Mercer is cleared. He didn’t rape anyone.
He was in Tijuana with Logan at the time of Parker’s
rape.
Quotable Quotes
-
Veronica: “How long have
you been standing there, Piz? I might expect a tip.”
-
Veronica (staring at the naked pictures on
Sully’s wall): “I guess you don’t have to wonder if your boyfriend is straight.”
-
Veronica: “No term paper, a dream job,
all I have to do is keep my mouth shut.” Like that’s going to happen.
-
Mr. Landry: “Your assignment is to plan
a perfect murder.”
Veronica (voice-over):
“From the man who couldn’t plan an affair with the dean’s wife.” Loved this one.
-
Veronica: “I dig the outfit.
Is that in Dolce Gabbana's study buddy collection?”
-
Keith: “I know you, Veronica.
You're not that jaded.”
Veronica: “Didn't use to be. I had this one shining example that gave me some faith.”
-
Keith: “Veronica, this
is something special.”
Veronica: “This is something special. Where have we heard that before? Oh, yeah. From
every John we've ever caught with his pants down.”
-
Mercer: “I would want him as my boyfriend
if I swung that way.”
Veronica: “Give
it time. You just got here.” Great.
-
Veronica: “Of all the gin joints in
all the cities in the world.”
Some Final Notes
-
So here’s what I’m thinking: this
first batch of episodes is being used to introduce the new characters. That’s why we haven’t seen Mac, Wallace,
Weevil as much as we should have. They will be back though.
-
Even when Veronica is drugged, she still finds
the time to be sarcastic. When she remembers this feeling, she says, “great, not this again.” It made me smile,
then I wanted to him myself for smiling at a moment like that one. It must be scary to experience the same feeling again.
-
I was angry at Veronica for refusing the internship.
She won’t get many chances like this one. Also, I really don’t think Professor Landry was buying her off.
-
When Logan went to
Piz’s room, Piz was acting all weird. Did anyone else catch that?
-
That food court looks so cool.
-
Vinnie Van Lowe is screwed up. He has to decide
which side he wants to work with. He completely disappointed me when he threatened Keith and he made up for it when he saved
Veronica.
-
We still have some reference to Kendall.
The Fitzpatricks want their money.
-
I think the RA might be the rapist. He always
keeps popping up.
Good, but not great. 3 stars
